"The Church is the hope of the world"
I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for the privilege to serve. (1 Timothy 1:12)
I am passionate about the church! God has allowed me to serve many years on church staff full-time: serving in an executive pastor role, overseeing multi-million dollar building projects, assisting church senior leadership through strategic transition, coaching pastoral staff in effective ministry, and so much more.
It is also my privilege to have many years experience serving as a church volunteer in various capacities: small group leader, treasurer, adult bible class teacher, greeter team leader, leadership trainer, and more. It is great to draw upon my time in the marketplace in the areas of real estate marketing, call center sales management and professional services consulting.
I love coaching people toward ministry success. Seeing the church unleashed to radically transform people with God's grace is my passion and my life's work.
MarkDeMossOnline.com is my place to share thoughts about prevailing churches, christian leadership, effective ministry, family and much more!

Contagious Passion
Walking along the Riverwalk, we came upon the La Villita. A great open air music amphitheater. So we took a seat and the music began. It’s an accordion festival. Seriously. ACCORDION festival! I wouldn’t normally walk a block to see an accordion. But the guy…accordionist, I suppose…is playing passionately. So passionately that audience members are spontaneously rising from their seats and dancing. I never thought I’d say this about accordion music, but this is personally a very enjoyable experience. I’m pleasantly surprised to be swept into the joy this crowd is experiencing. All because of this guy’s passion.
This is the way church should feel to visitors. It should surprise them that they are swept into the joy everyone seems to be experiencing. Joy because of our passion…for Christ.
That’s the way it is at Fellowship Church. I love my church!
